Why can't I see the new page I have just uploaded to my website?

Check that you have uploaded the website files to the correct directory on the server. Your hosting account set up email will contain information regarding the correct directory that your website files need to be in or see the FAQ "Where do I put my files when I FTP them up".

If the files are in the correct directory and your website still won't display please check that you have named the first page of the website one of the default IIS pages: Default.htm, Default.asp, index.htm, index.html, iisstart.htm, default.aspx, index.aspx, index.asp or default.html

Alternatively, it could be that the old web page has been cached (saved) either on your PC or with your ISP. In this case try a forced refresh of your browser by holding down the 'ctrl' key and pressing 'F5'. Or try adding a question mark '?' at the end of the URL in your browser address bar e.g. www.yourdomain/index.html? - the question mark on the end may bypass your ISP's cache.
